Winter

Winter is one of the four temperate seasons, characterized by cold weather and often involving snow and ice in many regions. It occurs after autumn and before spring, typically spanning from December to February in the Northern Hemisphere and from June to August in the Southern Hemisphere. The season is defined by its shorter days and longer nights, as well as lower temperatures. In various cultures, winter is associated with themes of dormancy, introspection, and renewal, as many plants and animals enter a state of hibernation or rest. Winter is also linked to various holidays and festivals across the world, often celebrated with family gatherings, traditions, and seasonal activities like skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating.
